Denso (Australia) Pty Ltd established manufacturing operations in Melbourne in 1968 to manufacture corrosion prevention products. Originally established as a joint venture between Winn & Coales (Denso) Ltd and Gatic Pty Ltd, Denso (Australia) Pty Ltd has been wholly owned by Winn and Coales International since 1987.

The Denso name is recognised throughout Australasia for providing industry with Denso tape, a cloth reinforced wax tape (petrolatum) which was developed 75 years ago for the "Long Life Protection" of buried steel pipelines against corrosion.

Since then and with a continued "Commitment to Quality", Denso has introduced other Long Life solutions for corrosion, sealing and wear problems in the Marine, Process Oil & Gas, Mining, Water and Civil Industries.
